Private Duty: Who is eligible?
Ross Health Care’s Private Duty specialists provide peace of mind for patients and families alike. In most cases the patient can maintain his or her independence with in-home care and support services and enjoy a good quality of life.
Services can be provided in a variety of settings, including home, skilled nursing or assisted living facilities, or in a hospital room.
Under the direction of an Registered Nurse, Home Health Aides (HHA) assist the patient with the following:
- Assistance with bathing & personal care
- Meal preparation
- Chores & errands
- Medication reminders
- Exercise, walking & transferring
- Dementia & Alzheimer’s care
- Licensed nurses
- Pet care
- Incidental transportation
Our services are custom designed for each patient. As employees of Ross Health Care, caregivers and nurses' employee taxes, insurance, liability background checks and supervision are handled by our company. Each employee is carefully screened including criminal background checks, complete reference checks, drug screening, on-site training and additional supervision.
Private duty services are available on an hourly or 24 hour basis. We can usually supply an appropriate caregiver or nurse within 24 hours.
We provide free in home assessment and evaluation in order to determine the specific needs an individual may have.
These services are not covered by Medicare or most health insurance policies and are paid directly by the patient or family. However, numerous payment options are available
